Last updated: April 3, 2026. This page explains what NomadPro stores locally on your device, what the website collects for the waitlist, and when limited third-party processing can happen.

Overview

NomadPro is a local-first record-keeping app for British citizens and other UK passport holders living abroad. The app is designed so your core travel, residency, and planning records stay on your device rather than in a NomadPro account.

Core travel and residency records remain local unless you use a feature that needs outside processing, such as subscription checks or Premium AI.

You can use the core tracking features without creating an account. The app is intended to operate without advertising SDKs, behavioural analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking.

Data stored on your device

The app stores the information you enter in local JSON files on your device. This can include your profile, year configuration, travel log, work-day records, check-ins, planning scenarios, exports, and AI context summaries.

If you enable iCloud or device backup features, Apple may back up those files under its own services and policies.

Website waitlist data

If you join the waitlist on the website, NomadPro stores the email address you submit together with basic request metadata needed to manage launch updates and the signup list. This website waitlist data is separate from the app’s local records.

Permissions

Location permission is used to suggest the country you are in during onboarding and check-ins. Calendar permission is used only if you choose calendar import. Notification permission is used only for local reminder notifications scheduled on your device.

You can decline these permissions and continue using the rest of the app, subject to the relevant feature limits.

Subscriptions and payments

Paid subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your device. NomadPro uses RevenueCat to manage entitlements, restore purchases, and reflect subscription status inside the app.

That means purchase-related identifiers, transaction state, subscription metadata, and an anonymous app instance identifier may be processed by the app store provider and RevenueCat for billing and subscription management, including entitlement refreshes when the app checks subscription status.

Premium AI features

If you choose to use Premium AI features, the app sends the prompt and the minimum relevant derived context needed to answer it from your device to the NomadPro backend proxy and its AI providers.

Under the current product design, that proxy validates the subscription, relays the request, returns the response, and is intended not to store the content after processing. You should avoid Premium AI features if you do not want that limited transmission to occur.

No analytics or advertising in the app

NomadPro does not use advertising networks, behavioural analytics, or third-party tracking tools inside the mobile app. It is intended to operate without telemetry about routine app usage.

Retention and deletion

Data stored locally in the app remains on your device until you edit it, export it, clear it, remove the files, or uninstall the app.

Third-party providers involved in subscriptions or AI responses may keep operational logs, transaction records, or compliance records under their own policies.

International processing

If you use subscriptions or AI features, related data may be processed in countries other than the one you are in, depending on the infrastructure used by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and the AI providers involved.
